Mega-selling Greek performer Demis Roussos died today. He was 68. Paving the way for the Greek garage scene in the late 60s, Roussos was a member of Aphrodite’s Child. He rose to international acclaim, having sold over 60 million albums worldwide. The Alexandria-born artist will be remembered for his trademark high-pitch vocals and lifelong dedication to the promotion of his homeland through his music and professionalism.
